Went to replace a cooker hood yesterday and found this whilst looking for the cooker hood isolator

This had been left like this - and they had a certificate

The one below was from a house where the agent paid for a refurb and they left a unit with tape instead of blanks

Is that a DNO meter on the left of the second pic? Quality workmanship connecting the tails into it!
Looks like the incoming supply might be long overdue for replacement as well.

Might be the angle of the photograph and forced perspective and all that…. But your hand looks huge next to the board…?

A friend came across this earlier - installed for two car chargers apparently.
Cable used was 2 x 6mm T&E
They could argue it’s in an enclosure that can only be opened by a key. If you’re referring to basic insulation…

Or is it the fact there’s no ocpd feeding the 6mm

Yep

Apparently it was done by a NICEIC registered contractor from Glasgow

Box change I am about to do. Note the "barriers" Yes that sort of work is often encountered at various places and much worse to be frank @baldelectrician sadly.

I love my Proteus spilt load board I have at home , it was the original one the house was built with , some wally (i think the kitchen re fitters) added a hager mcb in it thou which spoils the asthetics

Not that I think this is acceptable but are you not allowed a cable without an OCPD as long as it's below 3m and protected downstream? It could do with a cable clip too... ?

God forbid you have mixed brands, could explode at any stage now. Probably even accelerate global warming
