hello, ive recently tested a house where the main tails ran quite a distance! is there a regulation for max tail length still as it used to be 2m???
 
thanks for the quick reply! so what would you class that as in a periodic test? the tails are about 8m long!!

Unless it specifically breaches a Regulation in BS7671 then you couldn't apply any Recommendation Code to it.
 
Been in a property where the supply head and meter were in one of them white boxes on the outside of the property and the tails were swa, and run to the D.B. under the stairs about 10 metres away. Didn't seem to be an issue with either EDF or the installer.
