What is the purpose of measuring loop resistance of generator/transformer winding? What is the method?

the loop impedance of the generator is important as it becomes the Ze for the installation. you could measure it but the best way is to get the information from the maufacturer. the Ze, being a live test is notoriously difficult to measure accurately if not a tad on the dangerous side as you have to go to the "studs"! the safest option is to contact the manfacturer.
