Can anyone tell me if the two probes are plugged into the right sockets so I can measure the amps on my heated motorcycle grips? Also which setting do I need to put the dial.
Once I get that bit sorted how do I then go about testing my heated grips on my bike?Multi.JPG

Plug the red lead into the 10ADC socket. To measure amps select 10A on the meter dial, connect the negative wire from the heater grips to negative of the battery, connect the positive wire from the heater grips to the black lead from the meter. The red lead from the meter connect to the positive battery terminal.

I would first try and take a resistance measurement of the grips. That will do two things... 1) tell you whether they are likely to work and 2) give you a value that you can use to work out whether you're likely to blow up your multimeter trying to measure the current they draw.
