I just wondered whther anybody here has had a Napit assessment for their mcs accreditation?

I just spoke to a friend of mine who went through Napit for his solar thermal and heat pumps and i asked to see his QMS (to see how he did it) and he said he didnt have one.... So i asked what he showed the assessor and he siad a risk assessment and an incoming and in process inspection sheet he made up.

He had a list of things to do for the next assessment but still got his accreditation.

The NICEIC assessor for my mcs, mentioned that Napit were doing things differently and that UKAS were investigating..

He's having you on - at least 3 - 4 hours for inspection of QMS whoever you are with. If you're prepared you'll be fine but take time to do it properly.

Mmm not sure how that happened then, friend of mine went through his with Napit a couple of months ago and he had a full QMS system in place and they spent 4 hours in the office going over it in detail.

I have just had my NAPIT mcs 5 hours on the paperwork an hour on the job . ended up with several elements of paperwork to rectify by email then al ok

napit are very good and very thorough i see theres always alot of rivalry between nic and napit, i have had no trouble with napit my last napit inspection the inspector was with me for 4.5 hours so i cant believe the story somehow!
