If the socket will be accessible, you don't need the SFCU.Due to the position of the separate integrated fridge and freezer I am going to have switched fuse spurs on other side of the wall and a single socket on load side. Looking at regs there is nothing to say there is anything wrong with this.
Does anyone have thoughts on this?
The idea behind having the fridge and/or freezer on dedicated circuit(s), and ideally on RCBOs, is to minimise the risk of those appliances being affected by issues with other appliances or circuits. It may or may not be more work, but if you have the chance to do a good job now, then why not do It?
True.Freezers could go unnoticed if power lost, fridge freezers and fridges not so much, people tend to notice the light isn't working!
