No RCD !! C2 or C3

Got an EICR to do tomorrow so just getting a headstart on paperwork .. customers sent me a few pics , straight away fuse board is OAF .. no RCD ... Now .. how do I code this ? And what's your thought process ..

I have it in my head that , should a customer be able to run an extension lead out the door /window of the house and use a Jetwash or any other equipment .. I regard this as "potential danger" C2 ? ...

Most would say C3 and I agree In some respect

.. Napit Codebreakers book is great but not 100% clear on the situation ... Any train of thought would be nice thanks

Potential use of outdoors equipment is a C2. TBH no point chucking codes at it until you've inspected the installation.

also a C2 for bathroom circuits if no RCD or supplemantary bonding present. newboard required. .

No point mincing about these days imo

if it ain’t got any rcd on the installation then i Strongly recommend a board change before even bothering spending 4 hours doing an eicr which ultimately will just fail due to lack of any rcd protection

Anyone conducting EICRs should have both the training and experience necessary to do so competently. This is not just my opinion, but it's down in writing, both in the regs and guidance notes, and on the .gov website.

I personally look at the condition of the installation, if class 1 accessories, electric shower fitted, outside lighting etc its a C2 for me personally. Boards and Installations can be OAF and still be serviceable and safe.
