Is this the overloads

No, those are lords who have subfeudated an estate or manor to a tenant. Oh, wait...
Overload relays, yes of course they are. Clues include manual/auto reset, current dial, terminal numbers, part numbers.

Yes, standard motor overloads, I can guess if this is to regulations that the coil voltage is DC and highly likely to be 24v DC... Lucien will know where I'm coming from.

DC control when working to En60204 should be dark blue.

LOL missed the big 24v DC on the white just going by the blue code wires, the dark blue only applies if you have a blue Neutral as to distinguish between any N wires and 24v DC although adequate marking can be used but like you say its prefered there is a difference between the actual shades of N and 24v DC...... but im probably teaching you to suck eggs here :wink5:

I would suggest the builder of this panel is clued up about how to design controls and circuits but is lacking in knowledge of the BS60204 as they have cherry picked certain reg's and totally ignored others, also I would suggest a PLC would have simplified this set-up greatly.

Programmable relay like a LOGO sure, a full on PLC would be hugely overkill for this.

Looking at the age of the components would suggest it pre dates things like the LOGO, weren't as cheep or common as they are now.

We still design panels like this, simply at the clients request as the know their maintenance staff could maintain it if it broke down.

Do vsd's take in single phase and spit out 3ph

Vsds can be single phase in or 3 phase in. All output 3 phase. They output the same voltage as they are inputted (no doubt there will be exceptions but none that I have seen) ie 230v in single phase = 230v 3 phase out.
400v 3 phase in = 400v 3 phase out.

You can get single phase output for 1ph motors, they are not just for 3ph motors.
You can get step up drives e.g. 110v in to 220v out but these are limited to the very low HP range.

Not as common I'll give you that but it does mean what you have put is incorrect :hair:

Anyone know of an RCBO manufacturer, apart from Chint, that includes an indicator in the RCBO to indicate if the trip is a earth fault or an overload.
