I'm new here and can't figure it out... I want to post a question in the DIY forum but it says private... Although it also says DIYers welcome. Any tips? Thanks!

I am trying to replace an obsolete EFG 205 Thermostat (3 terminals) with a EGO 320 Thermostat (2 terminals).

There were three wires connected to the original thermostat:
Orange (to timer)
White (to thermal cutout I THINK?)

Any help or advice you can give would really be much appreciated. I've already spent ÂŁ100 on spares and I don't want to buy a new oven! Thank you.

for the DIY section, you'll need approval from a moderator. this should be sometime this evening after din dins. meanwhile try and get some photos of both . old one in situ.

I think your best course of action is to find a local "bod" who does appliance repairs and outline the problem before they come to you....

Out of interest what have "Stoves" recommended?
