How does everyone price big jobs??

I run a small/medium size company and have been asked to price 87 domestic units + communal ares for a big company!
I was just wandering how others would do this/ where to start, as i would like to get the job!

Cheers
Steve

Bottom up price build on excel, backed by wholesaler prices, sometimes have written quotes from suppliers, depends on level of risk. Add in hours, add in risk coverage.

Its an art really, but you get better with practice

bottom up - for sure if you know how much 1 unit is times it by 90 and treat the communal as a separate job - key to remember that you don't save any man hours on a massive jobs - just end up with lots of lost hours - stage the payments carefully check if the development is staged and don't forget you can't watch the guys while you are at the meetings.
