Anyone heard of this before?
I had a year contract with a Local Authority contractor. They wanted me to carry out EICR's on void properties but would only give me photocopy certificates. I would do the test and fill out the photocopy. Anyway, I found out that the QS in the office was copying it out on a proper cert and then 'pp' my name in the signature box. He would then sign it as reviewed by him!
I can't see that this is correct as he could alter anything and/or make mistakes. And also, its not my signature on the document anyway so how would it ever stand up in a court of law?
