Hi, in the SAP calculation 0.8*kWp*s*ZPV is the kWp the peak output of the pv array or the output from the inverter? Thanks.
 
Thanks! thought it was. But would the return from a 120%-80% sized inverter be different? even tho SAP would not say it was?
 
Return is always more than SAP. SAP is nothing more than a standardised bench mark for us all to work from. It is meant to prevent miss selling. Using PVSOL some of our systems are expected to produce a good few hundred kWh more than SAP and from our earlier systems it looks as if that is going to be the case. SAP does not take into account location or product efficiencies.
 
I wonder how the SAP calculations measure up in the north of Scotland. I expect they'll estimated yield will be too high in those locations.
