Switched fused spur problem

Hi,

Had a problem recently. Switch fused spur fed off ring main to control 6 x t8 5ft fluorescent tubes works when it wants, tried replacing fuses and tried a new spur, and keep getting the same problem. Its not overloading and havnt come across this before.

Any ideas??

Already replaced, same fault happening

Poor connection other than at the FCU.

Will re-check all connections at light fittings and see if that sorts it

Loose connections at the socket you've spurred from?

Can you check the functional switch - starting current may have zapped it perhaps?

If it works when it wants, ask it why. It's obviously throwing a tantrum due to a loose connection/ faulty unit.

Is this a new install or are you fault finding an old install?
