no, it says the resistance is 35ohms ( or wimpeys)
 
a coil has both resistance and inductance. do'ntr need an additional resistor, unless for current limiting..
 
If it wanted Impedence Z = square root of R2 + X2

But thats if there was a resistor in the circuit as well as an inducter

I may be wrong its just I'm going through this stuff atm so it's all fresh in my head lol


I suspect the OP means the Impedance (Z) is 35 Ohms. (and purely reactive)
 
must be a superconductor. zero ohms resistance.
 
if the impedance was 35ohms, current would be 24/35 = 0.6857A. but it's not. ot's 0.360A
 
The coil resistance is 35 ohms.
Do a quick sketch of an RL circuit.
Make your observations of voltage and current.
Now transpose your observations to a vector diagram.
