Last week the door seal rear retainer went on our Indesit washing machine. Yesterday the part was finally delivered, it's a circular spring about 400mm in diameter which secures the door seal to the drum housing and so far I've been on about an hour trying to get it fitted.
I'm hoping one of my learned friends can either point me in the direction of a "how to guide" or will know a trick to getting it done quicly and easily because the hard way just ain't working right now

done a hotpoint one the other week. that was a pain. it's just perseverance, trev, coupled with a lot of swearing.

The front panel is welded on mate and there's a bloody bit concrete block at the bottom where I need to get me hand in but I'll have a watch of the vid and post back any progress. Cheers for that mate :)

Can you do it by going through the door hole?
Fit the seal to the drum then fit seal to the outer case.

i needed misses to help ,3 hands you need .....

:) After I hit enter on that last post about not having enough hands my oldest son came in from the gym, he had 2 hands on him so I pressed him into service. 20 minutes later job done and I'm happy. I'm really pleased he's not on day shift this week :)
