Can anybody help me out on which scheme is best to join and how much they are to join? Also, I'd like to know how much it costs per certificate too.

Any light shed on this would be good, thanks.

elecsa is the favorite. £340+VAT. notifications are £1.50 - £2. stroma is the new kid on the block @ £250 + VAT.

elecsa I wouldn't touch with a bargepole after they screwed me over.go to your LABC and ask them if they do a free competent persons list, mine do in Rotherham.

that's very interesting. if rotherham do it, then are all the other LABCs operating restrictive practices?

Think you'll find quite a few LABC's have a competent persons list!! If you have a JIB Approved Electrician Gold Card or above, it's well worth a try!! I doubt very much if a electrical trainee would entertained in any shape or form!! lol!!

Elecsa £1.50 + VAT per notification, supposed to rise to £3.00 + VAT once the mandatory insurance kicks in, but that's all gone VERY quiet.
