Take a look at yourselves..

Matey, this is a forum for professional sparkies - you posted in the DIY section and got sensible responses, which you clearly don't like.

By your own admission you've had the same responses from another forum.

So 2 forums out of 2 give the same advice - they can't both be wrong

There is no need for name calling people.

Have to admit fogger22, what is wrong with just getting your electrician in to do the attic wiring then you can do your plastering?

The first one was because i orginaly intended to rewire myself and it kinda got derailed into explaining that i couldn't get the wires put in. So no, not the same answer, just the same response i.e derailed to the point i couldn't expect to get one.

I never asked in the diy section here, i did not realise i was on a trade only section at present apologies for that part at least.

Indeed i dont like the answer, i already have conduit here and for the 30 seconds it would take to actually answer it would save me having to pay the spark to come out in advance..

I mean i have already pointed out it defies reason for me to expect to feed any wires myself and get them hooked up and how by default if i was going to wire myself that i wouldnt expect to get a cert so that should have put the idea i am doing something dangerous att ease.

it is conduit.... I have fitted plenty of the stuff in the past, i might not even need to fit anymore if what i have done is sufficient, so what, call in and pay a sparky for the possibility of being told it is fine?

Cmon. :)

I mean all to answer the question, which is in essence 'is it fine to run a cable through a knockout box where it will not terminate and is the box deep enough'..

Your in doubt about your knowledge then yes get the spark in to check your work or do it .as he has already quoted I am sure he won't mind coming over and in the summer it won't cost as much will it

I can see your reasoning if it where cable, i really can, but it is conduit and thankfully now i have an answer.

To those of you who where not rude, thank you for your input., as for murdoch and the others that can barely string together an insult, well, i won't lower myself to your level...
