You wouldn't even need to decorate over that!

Just don't go hammering a nail in to the wall for the painting the missus wants you to hang.

Noticed he never tested it. Diabolical. Wonder if he's registered wid err scheme :)

I didn't see a switch on the light so I assume it is on all the time!

reminds me of my earlier alarm days. foil on shop windows. now that was an art in itself, double folding the corners, masking off, 2 coats of clear varnish over. recently spotted some i did in 1982. still working fine.

Might use it for me decking lights?

This is great! I can see a massive new-year cheque, coming my way, when i suggest an innovative network distribution design,to the DNO.
Along the same principles,i will be suggesting that they use double and triple road marking lines,to add supplies, with self-adhesive links, off,to each new property.

I will,of course,be obtaining preferential bidding options,on all the DNO's redundant excavators and equipment.

This time,next year,Rodney....

This is something, you could only know,if you had recently broke in,and been successfully prosecuted :):):)

would work fine for low voltages such as 12 or 24v leds etc fed by a transformer but i wouldnt be okay putting 230v through that,
It would work well in kitchens for under cabinet lights as you can feed behind panels being so thin

they could replace all them nasty double yellow lines with copper strips. tap off the supply to properties with an earth rod banged in by the kerb. trolley buses could then be re-introduced with swingin pick-up arms to run along the strips, instead of those unsightly overhead cables.

The same basic design is used in the flat sheet under floor elements.

Anything to get rid of double yellows!

Better than being home alone I suppose?

Think it’s only used for ELV in the U.K., speaker wire and such.
I believe in the US that it can be used for 110V?

Inventors must be running out of Dumb things to invent .

what a bad idea, ive seen wet plaster walls that have become live due to leaking into a live socket, not 230v but still enough to give you a tingle

Yes, and if it over heats you will have scorch marks on the wall paper!
..Now you know where its safe to hang picture to cover scorches !

i heard somewhere that a product will only be recalled if enough complaints are raised against it, like with those "hover" boards that were always catching fire when charging

from what i recall the producer can stick their labels on it as a "pass" and its not until it reaches the end user where it is actually tested

surprised if any spark worth their salt uses this tape ---- though!

The video finished before the 'Now lets see if it works" moment. I wonder what happened?
Maybe he realised that the 90 degree fold-over corners he made was copper to copper.

Agreed, without the link this thread is pointless and shouldn't have been resurrected.
There's not much else that can be done now other than to archive it.

Grumpy @Adam W - I enjoyed that somber video with ‘written’ sound affects “CLICK”.
Anyway, I’m not getting rid of my 18kg Stanley backpack full of tools to just need a pair of dressmaking scissors and a spatula - no way!

--One at start -- 3x copper stripes ... Content still visible
(though I don't normally click -Face-Ache- products )
