Hi all,
I had a discussion with the missus today - correction... she was moaning about the amount of time that I spend on this forum. Anyway she reckons that she could discribe us all down to a tee. We're all mid 30s and over, married, kids, pets, and ex school geeks!!!
I tried to explain to her that we have to have something to do whilst the women are watching all that TV crap, that they all seem obsessed by. I also pointed out to her that we use this forum to discuss an area of interest that appeals to us, the users. However she won't have it, and insists that it is just another symptom of 'boys and their toys.' Furthermore she rubbed salt into the wounds by stating that if we didn't have the internet, then we'd all be making model aeroplanes or something.
So come on fellas, lets prove her, and all of the wifes out there wrong, by posting exactly what we think of their b*t**y jealous and stupid comments.
The way that I see it, we have to have at least one vice in life. And to be honest I do find that this forum can be addictive. However why can't she see that I ain't out gambling - I couldn't back a one horse race, I ain't a big drinker anymore, and I hate drugs. Just what are we supposed to do after work then boys? Sit there watching that crap on the TV?

p.s im only 26 and i do enjoy building model railways!! engaged have no kids , 2 cats and i never really paid any interest in school but came away with remarkable quals! (some how)

well she is right about the mid 30`s for me but don`t tell anyone i am not quite married although i call her my mrs (been together 18 years) yep 2 kids, and a fair share of pets. as for schoold geek, nah could not be further from the truth. not a single gcse above a D when i left. thats why i had to re do them last year. tell her this is like the regs, we have to come on to keep up with the current changes etc
also tell her if she let you watch something better than the usual mush they watch we would not come on here as much (well i would ) but keep that one quiet. or just admit the truth mate, tell her you have an addiction and can`t stay off the place

me...............................same said in my house, im 36, 1 kid, married, i dont go drinkin much these days............................christ, im turning into my dad!!!!!...............and i get moaned at alot, but this is the coldest room in the house, ie the bloody heating is not on 26 degrees, i dont have eastenders putting the dampeners on my already stressful day, the dog is under my feet thinkin the same and its also nice and quiet!!!!!!.........i like my forum time so **** em, thats what i say!
