Hello guru's, does anyone have information on any retro type 230v t8 lamp holders, to use instead of using a fluorescent light batten fitting?

im basically installing led tubes across a gym but want a low profile look and its not a replacement bulb install but starting from scratch.

to buy battens to just bypass the guts inside them seems a waste of money.

any suggestions?

Ow those look pretty

I've noticed in some of the LED catalogues that you can put LED tape into a oval shaped profile/ channel, would be interesting what you could make with that if you had T pieces, neat end caps etc to use with some high power tape.

You have to try for T8 to T5 retro fit lamp. They are nice fittings and which can be directly plugged into an existing fixture. No need to install any expensive and additional electronic ballast. This low profile equipment would be better for your gym as it saves electricity up to 30%.

thanks for the feedback. i have never looked into the t5 conversion kits.

i have 50 surplus 4 foot lED T8 bulbs from UK LED so looking at selling them on this install.
