Anything by Paul Cook or Brian Scaddan , they are IEE (IET) engineers associated with the writing of the wiring regulations and setting the questions for the 2391 and other City and Guilds exams.

Yes I got Chris Kitcher's book as as I progressed in my first year, but feel that you need to grasp the fundamentals first as if you don't then you will end up getting yourself confused or lost. I did ask my tutors regarding some items but was told that they were more for L3 and would be taught / discussed then, obviously they don't want to lose out on future learning fees:) Keep at it and read up on this forum as there is a wealth of information to be had, just wish I knew about this forum when I started.
