Hi everyone.

I've been asked to move a light and put a new switch in for it at a local school. The switch cable will be installed in a partition wall. My question is do we consider that a school would only allow skilled people to work on the building, therefore not requiring RCD protection for the cable, which will be installed in a prescribed zone.

Thanks

Is it a metal stud or timber?

You could always install guardian cable.
