Discuss Been offered a networking job, not sure whether to go for it. in the Computer and Networking Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

Hey thanks for the other replies. I've turned down the job. If I had a bit more time I probably would've worked something out. It needs doing in the next 2 - 3 weeks and I'm already stacked up workwise. I'm going to look into educating myself on this, possibly a course if I can find one locally.

Thanks again

Yup, that is a good idea to get educated before taking up a new job in hand, take some necessary courses that can make you familiar with those networking and cabling and in future you can expand your business to new area along with your current one best of luck.

I do a lot of network wiring for one of my customers but I just install the cat5 sockets and cables and they have someone who sorts the rest out.I think you can get courses on it for not too much.I must find out.

I am almost finished doing a level 2 ICT C&G diploma at Lambeth College. I am thinking of going on to the comptia A+
Its a year long course 2 nights a week. Have a look at your local College. For me it started as a hobby.
Not expensive I was quite pleasantly surprised.
