Trouble is Tel when I do that I tend to get my self into all sorts of trouble, but that's the way to do it

in actuality, we don't have an indoor shower. ours is a hosepipe and a colander in the back yard.

We used to dream of hose pipe and a colander; we used to mop ourselves down with the back yard broom with no bristles.

Hang on where is my violin

We were lucky.
shoebox??? bloody luxury. last week's liverpool echo as a roof. kept the rain of as it was soaked in chippy grease from having wrapped last night's chips.

I was looking for the brave smiley but can't find it anywhere.

if you read Linksy5 comment Cables buried in wall not clipped direct
Surely you know about voltage drop

Technically you are correct, if this was being wired from scratch a 10mm/45a circuit would be installed. However the OP is simply complaining of pullswitches failing due to thermal damage. That will be nothing to do with the cable size or mcb rating and everything to do with poor connections at the switch.
Given the short duration of the load for a shower it's unlikely that the 6.0mm and 32a mcb will ever be a problem , the issue is poorly connected pullswitches and rewiring the circuit will not resolve that..
