I could find the fuse on the top right of the image which measures less than 1.7 inches in length from end to end and has 150 amps. (grey color). The fuse is inside a SAM module in a Mercedes. None of the auto part stores have it and the dealer do not carry more than 100 amps. They want to sell me the whole module for one bad fuse and which cost close to a 1000 dollars.
My question is: would a different dimension fuse with a150 amps work if I change only the size on both ends of the fuse?

Yes a longer fuse rated at 150amp would work.

They'll also be commonly used on boats.
