Communication systems for offices

1) Would anyone be able to help me to determine what communication systems would need to be considered in a typical commercial office building?

So far I have: voice (telephone), PA system, data, access control, internet, BMS system possible

2) and what would deter a designer from allowing all of these systems to share a single network?

So far I have: interferance, security issues

1) Fax and email, possibly radio pagers for large offices, Emergency (possibly under BMS)
2) differing protocols, voltages, lack of stability, lack of back up contingency
