Hi Folks

I have 1.5 conduit singles running vertical from a bend in 20mm conduit to an angle box.
the plan was to terminate from the angle box onto 1mm T&E.
How can I support the weight of the singles without putting strain on the terminals? It's about two an a half meters from the bend to the angle box.

How are you joining the two cables?

I think insulated through crimps would be best, but thinking about it, im not sure you really need to support anything.

I was planning to use connector block, I was wondering if could clip inside the box or perhaps draw the single through a stepped grommet and tie wrap them.
I know there is not much weight is the singles , but for future reference , how could such an arrangement be supported supposing there was more weight?

any other ideas?

Fill the top of the conduit pipe with a non corrosive silicone or fit a surface mounted box on the angle box with a fixed cord grip

I would be more concerned about down sizing to a 1.00mm t&e from a 1.5 circuit, what breakers behind it, as if its a 10amp , 1.00 t&e is no good.

No problem there ; it's a switch wire to a flourescent on a 6a MCB toal load = 0.18a; around 0.3 with start induction.
