Emergency lighting test certificate

hi guys,

have any of you got a downloadable emergency lighting cert i can use ??

would be a great help,

am i right that things that need to be checked are;

minimum lux levels
batterys last long enough 2 or 3 hours depending
all signs pointing to the correct exit.

If you're a member of the ECA you can download a copy from their web site. The lighting cert assumes the initial design makes sure there is enough lux levels.

Certs usually detail annual test (3 hour duration) and monthly test (quick check they work and charging)

There's a bit more to it than that. I would advise you read BS5266 prior to testing any emergency lighting system.

As said get BS5266, everything you need is in the including sample certificates...

You could prepare your own from the NICEIC form sample if it is up to date (I do not know what changes 2011 brought about wehn BS5366 was revamped)
