Discuss EV Charger in the Electrical Wiring, Theories and Regulations area at ElectriciansForums.net

Read again what you have written. Assuming it is correct

Ask a question and get treated like a child typical, of some of the trolls on here, if they dont know the answer they should keep quiet.

The question was
Can you fit an EV socket to the side to the steel cladded steel framed building (Commercial) ?
It is a 3 phase PME supply
The suppliers of the socket say no it must be 2 mts from any bonded exposed metal works. And Local TT .
The IET code of practise says
The Code of Practice says that roadside and commercial chargers must not be connected to an unmetered supply, nor to a PME earth, nor loop wired. For purely commercial installations, charge points can be connected to the building earth
externally (if part of a guaranteed TN-S
system), or if the building has a steel structure, or has reinforced foundations.
I have rephrased it to try and make it troll proof

Thank you for any useful replies

hmm, some of the posts must be missing. I was gonna ask myself how I missed this pointless thread, but I'm getting quite good at filtering out all the crap now.

Auto1- if this place is as useless as you seem to think it is, fell free to leave and not return. no one will stop you
