If you're a qualified, trainee, or retired electrician - Which country is it that your work will be / is / was aimed at?
United Kingdom
What type of forum member are you?
Trainee Electrician
So I've just recently qualified from my apprenticeship and I'm looking to expand my knowledge on a few different systems such as:

A) CCTV
B) Fire alarm systems
C) Door entry systems
D) Smart systems
E) Industrial equipment

Not working at the moment and not so eager to get back on site so soon till covid calms down as some people on site don't respect the rules -_- so I have quite a bit of free time on my hands. I've mainly worked on domestic projects, some commercial and little to none industrial works. So I would like to expand my knowledge. Are there any reliable sources where I can learn from such as books, websites, webinars etc? I've been reading the building regs book and picking up a few bits and bobs. Just had a look at aico, they have an online webinar which I might sign up to.

If anyone could point me in the right direction please, thanks in advance.

If you're not already, it well worth getting clued up up on the basics of computer networking.

Aico webinars. Risco webinars (security gear), all good sources of info. think with both you'd need to register with themto get notifications of said webinars.

Someone said this to me before I completely forgot about this. I know there’s plenty of places I can learn about computer networking but have you got any source of info recommendations? Books, websites, forums, videos etc

I can't think of one of the top of my head. But if you look at the first few chapters of the Comptia Net+ course you'll probably find some useful stuff.
