Discuss Export payments for a 25kw system in the Solar PV Forum | Solar Panels Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

Hi All

I am quoting a customer for a 25kw system on a commercial property.

The property is used as a gym and has very high electricity use.

Initial calculations estimate 95% self generation with the 25kw system.

My question is, will my customer still receive deemed export payments of 50% or, will he be forced to install an export meter?

Presume you mean '95% self consumption'.

The mandatory export meter requirement kicks in at 30kW so you should be OK but some FiT suppliers can be sniffy.

Thanks, I thought as much.

So I should be ok with it being under 30kw. Can the FIT supplier make the customer install an export meter or would they have to install it themselves at their own cost? (which I would think is unlikely)
