i have just started my course as a trainee electrician...some advice on the following will be appreciated:

I have a spare 16 and 32A MCB (RCD protected) and i want to put an outdoor double socket. I don't have the option to spur off an existing socket so hence the reason I want to use one of the spare MCB which is currently not is use.

If i am going to have a maximum of two double sockets for the outside, do i have to put this in a ring circuit, or will a radial be sufficient? just need to know if i need to run 2 cables. Also, as i want to be able to isolate it from the inside, can i connect my 2.5 cable from the MCB to a 20DP switch inside the house, then from the DP to connect to the 2 external double socket?

My external socket is not a rcb protected socket so hence the reason i need to hook it up to one of the free mcb in my consumer unit which is rcb protected.

thanks...ur expertise is welcomed.

Radial should be sufficient.

This gives me the impression that you are connecting to the 16A breaker and you will not be using the 32A breaker for this job.
Again, nothing wrong with putting a 20A double pole isolator inside the house.

thanks, the outdoor sockets will only power a small pond water pump, a water uv filtration system and just a few garden lights.
