Evening all,
Could anyone offer any advice with regard to the following:
I am currently on a job in which a mezzanine floor has been installed with a suspended ceiling underneath. When I quoted for this job I simply priced to fit standard 600 x 600 recessed fluorescent fittings or LED panels.
However the main contractor has informed me that I need to fit fire hoods over all of these fittings in order to maintain the 60 minute rating of the ceiling. I have been quoted £18.50 plus vat each for said fire hoods which will add significant cost to this job and reduce my profit considerably.
Has anyone came across a cheaper alternative or perhaps a "fire rated" fitting of equivalent lumen output?
Any feedback is appreciated.
Regards
David
