Flat Roof Buckets for Ground Mount????

I'm thinking about using Renusol Console E for a ground mount rather than a flat roof mount - is there any reason why it can't be used for ground mount that anyone knows about? The ground is completely flat so it seems a much easier fix compared to Schuco ground mount systems and it's potentially portable too. Aesthetically it looks better too because it's lower than the 3.4 metres for the ground mount system.

Any thoughts .....

I think they are great for ground mount and would say go for it.

Yes, it is a great system. Easy to install, too. There are only 3 things to keep in mind
a) if mounted on flat roof, check the roof if it can take the weight, for 10kW system it is more than 3000 kg of balast!
b) if mounted on ground, its worse to clean around the panels than with traditional system - especially grass (possible shading) and snow may cause problems.
c) if mounted on roof / ground check draining of the area - water level should not reach the panel / wiring in any cases

Hello SRE, it certainly is possible for ground mount providing the ground is prepared first - we usually recommend some sort of membrane and then something like pea gravel. Let us know if you need a quote for the Console units.

Used these consoles on a commercial install months ago. Was a bit of a pig getting the ballast on the roof but you won't suffer the same problem with it on the ground!
The only down side to this system is the fixings on the lower part of the console are a bit awkward to get to when fixing the modules in place but other than that, a great idea.
