Discuss How to tell if socket is on ring or spur off spur in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

I'd tear the circuit apart and ring out each wire run with a long lead to see what is joined to what then sketch it out and make sure I am happy with it, I then rip up the floor if needed or downrate the circuit if neccessary.

thought it was only plumbers that ripped up floors.

I have found some thing under those floors that others have chosen to ignore.

Taped joints, JB spider webs on 32A OPDs, unenclosed connections, rodent damaged cables.

But don't worry I always poke the camara down there first to see if there is a real need to rip up the floor. If there is - it is better than a fire...

...Was it you, that took 6 months to do that EICR on that womens' prison shower block? :bobby:

Of course if your DIY it wont matter because as we all know.
They spur from a spur all the time, and 10 years down the road have never had a problem.
Why ??
Because kitchens aside, the loading on that extra bit of 2.5 is never likely to exceed its rating.
Did I just say that on an electricians forum ????
Spank me somebody pleeeese !!! :icon12:

...Oh the memories...remember watching that soapy-drivel,at me nans as a kid...My youngest has a pal whose mum works in a womens prison, and it sounds a VERY worrying task :bobby:

It ran for so long that eventually we were seeing the same actors playing different roles as the series went on!!
