Hi peeps, need some help please.

Hopefully starting with a company and need to get some sort of insurance for being self employed

What insurance do i need and who would you recommend?

Cheers Jen :)

Definately you will need public liability as your scheme provider will want to see this when you registered. A lot of the insurance deals you get now also do public indeminty which is always handy as well, if you start to do design work or PIR work.

Shop around espicially nowadays as you often also get deals for both of these combined in one policy and some nice little free or cheap extras like tool insurance as well.

You really need to speak with the company that you're subcontracting to, they may have requirements based on contract values or client-specifics.

We get a great deal through Trade Direct - The Tradesmen and Construction insurance specialists but again, it depends on what levels of cover may be imposed on you.
