Hi all,
I had a discussion with the missus today - correction... she was moaning about the amount of time that I spend on this forum. Anyway she reckons that she could discribe us all down to a tee. We're all mid 30s and over, married, kids, pets, and ex school geeks!!!
I tried to explain to her that we have to have something to do whilst the women are watching all that TV crap, that they all seem obsessed by. I also pointed out to her that we use this forum to discuss an area of interest that appeals to us, the users. However she won't have it, and insists that it is just another symptom of 'boys and their toys.' Furthermore she rubbed salt into the wounds by stating that if we didn't have the internet, then we'd all be making model aeroplanes or something.
So come on fellas, lets prove her, and all of the wifes out there wrong, by posting exactly what we think of their b*t**y jealous and stupid comments.
The way that I see it, we have to have at least one vice in life. And to be honest I do find that this forum can be addictive. However why can't she see that I ain't out gambling - I couldn't back a one horse race, I ain't a big drinker anymore, and I hate drugs. Just what are we supposed to do after work then boys? Sit there watching that crap on the TV?

Well mate, believe me cooking comes with PLENTY of practice, and in my case a love of... My missus - God bless her, is an intelligent girl and has a good job but she can't cook to save her life.
PS: Don't tell her I said that!!!

29 co inhabiting 2 kids from previous relationship, no decent quals from school, excelled as a chef worked in some of the best establishments in the world but always had more of a interest in engineering and always regretted not training as a spark so here I am re training.

I say can't cook, but the covered up truth is I won't cook. Can't stand it. In the two years I've been married if I've ever been asked I purposely mess it up so I'm never asked again.
"I'll just save myself the hassle and do it myself. That way I can't be dissapointed" ;) if you say so dear, if you say so.

Not too far from me then fella. Pretty good installation spark - if I do say so myself, but if I was half as good as sparking as I am at cooking I'd be Brian Scadden!!!

Lol like it!

I have enjoyed my 15 years as a chef I have worked for Ramsay, marco Pierre White and the savoy to name a few but I'm really looking forward to working full time as a spark!!

Oh crap where do I start
Welsh, now theres a contentious beginning so dont hold it against me :o

Married to one hell of a lovely girl for 35 years, after 6 years of courting her
She's as thick as two planks with a heart of gold, :)

We are definitely totall oposites (but opposites attract yes) the two boys (or men as they now are) make us a very argumentative and loving family

She has no interest whatsoever in the electrics when I rant on to her about it
She is also more than happy when I play with the computer, because she gets free reign of the Tv
I have a couple of pints most nights in my local club, and she has never ever critisised me for it (or at least not to my face) I wouldn't allow that :)

The forum is great for exchanging our lack of knowlege, and for some of thegreat banter between people who have work in common

PS the £10 an hour is a wind up, but the way things are going, who knows?

Ex school geaks ? There are certainly some very intelligent people on here, but there are some who can't spell or punctuate and it is barely possible to understand what there questions actually mean.

Oops, I meant "their".
so glad you put that correction in, i was going to hit you with a sarcy comment, after you had complained about other's spelling, etc. LOL.
