Hello,

I’m about to take on a mains room for a block of flats and the DNO are giving us a supply of 259kva.

Now, would I need a 200amp TP-N isolator or a 400amp TP-N isolator from the main head to the ryefield board? I am also assuming I will require a CT chamber. This is my first project of this kind. Any advice would be appreciated.

sounds like a 400A supply to me.

this is a complicated setup, and it is important to figure out who is doing what.

if the building operator is buying electricity and then sub metering to the flats, you probably don't need a ct chamber, as it will be installed by the supplier when they put the meter in.

if their are to be multiple connections and meters off the same incoming supply, you need to discuss with the DNO who has the responsibility for the distribution between incomer and meters, it is not always down to the DNO in this sort of application.
