Hi all, hoping someone can help!

We recently bought a house with an Aqualisa Lumi electric shower, which has suddenly stopped working. When we turn it on it takes a few seconds to starting trickling, then the unit starts making a whooshing sound (like the sound a games console makes when it’s trying to cool itself down), goes to full pressure/heat for a couple of seconds, then all the water stops and the unit goes quiet again.

Anyone got any ideas? It can’t be much more than 2 years old of that as I know the bathroom was done by the previous owner and they only lived here 2 years.

I should also add that I checked the smart meter whilst this was happening and the power goes from spending £0.03/hour during the trickle stage, to about £1.20/hour as the pressure starts to change, then to £1.90/hour as the spluttering starts. Even if I have the shower all the way to cold, it does the same thing and during the spluttering bit at the end, it’s boiling water coming out, not cold.
