Sorry,I'm a bit late on this thread. My story is similar to GaryM's last post.
I applied for the JIB card in 2007ish without the am2 for approved status.
I supplied my
C & G 236 part 1 (with am1 award on it)
C & G 236 part 2
16th edition
2391
A current ECS assessment. I was told I needed references from past employers,which I duly provided.They gave me approved status.On the back of my card it says...

industry assessed,IEE current regs,c&g 2391

probably because i was a jib graded apprentice is why i had to do my am2 for my regrade i thought everyone had to do it

god the electrical industry can be complicated some times they dont make it easy lol
 
I supplied exacatly the same as leckyant,(except 17th edition) as well as evidence of being the QS of an electrical company for a number of years.

Gave me a trainee card ?????????
