Discuss JIB Survey of Accidents at Work Report 2014 in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

I don't know what other's experiences are, but it always seemed that at the beginning of a contract H&S took precedence.
Access equipment was limited along with a no step ladders on site policy, a morning of site induction for all those working ect ect.
Then as the contract comes close to completion !!
You see different trades scrambling for space, and opportunity, to get there work finished.
Blind eyes being turned as step ladders start to appear everywhere.
Panic setting in as those thousands of pounds penalty clauses start to loom.
Extra bodies suddenly arriving on site to get everything finished up.
Then WHAM !! accident.
Glad to hear there's improvement though, maybe those in charge are actually practicing H&S instead of just going through the motions.
