Hi all. Could anyone recommend decent knee pads. Doing the job for nearly 15 years now and already the old knees ar niggling. I've tried the pads in snikers trousers but all ways tends to slip down and being uncomfortable (skinny lad:)). Thanks in advance.

i carry a THICK SOFT CUSHION IN THE VAN, BETTER THAN ANY KNEEPADS.

My knees are bloody rough, these days. Really troublesome at work.

Went to the docs for a recommendation......his answer.....a wheelchair.

Told him I already have one coz of me back.

always used the premise: if i can't lie, i'll sit. if i can't sit i'll stand. if i can't stand , then the booze is working.

Good suggestions. Atic work is the killer though. Might look into the red backs london.
have you tried the ones ontop of your trousers?

ive seen some before that have straps above and below knee and look like they will stay in place?

ill try to find pic

I had the MASSIVE benefit of having the problems associated with the human knee, explained to me,in my teens,by a mate of my dad. The first thing to know,is PRESSURE on the joint, via the patella (cap) that does the damage. It is the point-loading,or concentration of force, that pads alleviate. Obviously, any padding assists, but the best advice is not to kneel! This,i know,is both impossible and impractical,so not much help...The only thing to add is,olive oil, thermal bottoms,no jogging and pick good genes...sorry not to solve this one:stooge_curly:

the normal pads that come with snickers are too thin , they do a thicker version called a floor layers pad this is double the thickness ,more expensive but well worth it . wish i had known about it 10 years ago !

It is for this reason,i used capital letters in the word MASSIVE,above! The most valuable commodity in the world is hindsight...:pirate:

I will definitely second this!! I used normal knee pads for a while and they only last around 6 months and then its almost like they are not there, also they slip around alot.

The snickers 'floor layer' pads are really good, they last much longer (had them for a about a year now and they are just like new - used perhaps 3 times p/week) and they dont move around.

I have tried these pads in normal work trousers and they do not fit into normal knee pockets, they just bunch up and are uncomfortable.

i prefer there active kneepads to the normal ones.

after a while the normal snickers one are useless because its foam and its no longer spounge.
