Knowing the PO it will be a £100 as a non standard sized object!

No No boys, depth is key. If you get it started at the right angle Richie and just keep whacking and extending - it should easily get to Cyprus by Christmas, and ... err ... it might be stable?

No problem you can cut them in half and they should fit, 3 foot is overkill anyway when a 1.5 foot rod is more than adequate with an upfront RCD ;)

Bet you wished that was all you needed when you need to install a TT system in your part of SA!! lol!!

There's no TNCS in the area and getting a TNS isn't straight forward, but we'll see :)

Next you'll be showing a picture of a drill with a 3/8ths chuck.... Used to know a bloke that went mental when he saw one, would start shouting out loud "3 eighths chuck? 3 eighths? You need 1/2 inch chuck mate"

You do not want to use any of that copper coated steel rubbish you need a proper star shaped copper earth rod like this:
Quality earth rod.jpg
I have my BS951 clamp ready fitted and a high quality earth rod box, I am sure that 200 ohms is only a guide and the 485 ohms I got on installation will be fine!
I put it close to the wall so that it is not exposed to the weather.
What more could one do?
I am sure E54 will be pleased!
