Minor works or EIC???

I have just fitted an external light on a commercial property to illuminate a sign. The property has recently been rewired, and the circuit for the light (dedicated 6A) was fitted but not completed. Im guessing its going to be an EIC for the 1 circuit as I hd to install a switch and connect the existing wiring at both ends.

All fully tested, so I have all the necessary readings for either document. Downside is I could not see the whole of the wiring, wich I will duly note as pre-installed.

I would be inclined to do an EIC and describe in detail what work the certificate covers.

Iwas leaning that way too. Although the cabling was installed, it was not connected..............

Yeah, a dead circuit isn't a circuit really, even if the cable was already installed. You have put the circuit into service, and so in effect you have created a new circuit, which warrants an EIC.
