Hi all,

I was looking to fit a newer model dash to my motorbike.....

The plug on the rear of the dash is the same but from my limited electrical experience the wiring is different

I think the newer one is canbus but my current bike isnt

Is it possible to modify the wiring to suit the newer clocks ?

I will endeavour to post the two different wiring diagrams if anyone thinks they can help....

Cheers

Download 99-02.pdf current 99 wiring diagram (dash part number 24)

Download 03.pdf 03 wiring diagram (dash part number 29)

So can i fit part 29 in the second wiring diagram in place of part 24 in the first wiring diagram :D

Cheers in advance for any advice

I have some experience with motorcycle wiring but am not happy downloading an executable file from an unknown source, can you post a "safer" link?.
What make/model bike do you have?.

Its a 2002 Yamaha R6 and the clocks I wanted to fit are from an 2003 R6

Those links were a quick fix by me as I had to extract the diagrams from the full service manual .pdf's

I can post the full manual links off an R6 forum but they are 15mb and 10mb

??
