Hi wondering if anyone uses the NAPIT desktop package?

Have started too and the EICR doesn't have the need for recording the main switch for each DB on a multiple DB installation.

Spoke with NAPIT and they confirm all they want is the main switch/isolator at the origin. Then each DB schedule/test results sheet just lists the total number of circuits, single or 3 phase and the then the circuits in use!

I am personally sure that the main switch details for each DB should be recorded along with Zs and PFC at each DB. The Zs readings I guess are recorded from the preceding item as the outgoing circuits Zs on results sheets but not PFC. Maybe I am in correct and not needed but it just seems strange that it is required if a single DB but bot for each DB if multiple ones!

Thoughts appreciated?

Yes, I use it regularly. I have found the new EICR forms have a few areas which dissapoint, or are of concern....

1. There is nowhere for the maximum demand to be entered - surely this is a fundamental area any inspection should cover.

2. There are no areas for comments - which used to be very useful where now you can only grade (C1 - C3)

3. The free text area for defects is limited in length, so it is difficult to sometimes word the fault sufficiently enough to enable a future electrician to rectify the problem with ease of understanding.

Other than that I quite like it.
