Hello, yank living in Chile. Electric is the same as UK...220v. I am installing a whole house ATS. The generator is a floating neutral. The manual states the neutral to ground bonding must be in the ATS. Being a yank I am used to working with 4 leads 2 hot 1 neutral 1 ground. Now I have 3 leads. Both the neutral and hot have been connected to the double pole switch in the ATS leaving the neutral bar in the ATS with no connection. How do I bond? With a jumper? Thanks for any help.

There may be local codes that identify the correct place to make the bond as there is a difference for example between UK and US methods, but likely to be linked on the generator side of the ATS. Is the unit actually designed for 120-0-120 split phase 240V or for 0-240 single-phase? In the latter case it would normally be wired like a 120V supply in the US with one hot and neutral, just double the voltage.

220-240 single phase . The ATS has a neutral bus but has nothing connected. I have the hot and neutral from utility connected at top of switch, the gen. & house supply at the bottom. Would I bond with a jumper? Can't post pics yet. Thankyou for the reply
