Any idea where I can get them from, or who makes them? got a 3 core 25mm neutral screened cable to install but can't find the glands!

thanks! :D

You wouldnt be talking about copper waveform (CNE) LV distribution type cable would you as there is no way to safely gland this type of cable unless you terminate into an enclosure ie a cutout.
This type of cable is not readily available at the wholesalers either:rolleyes:

Yes I was, but have since found out that the cable is unsuitable for what is required (distribution around a farm) and will be using SWA.

Thanks to you both for replying - I hadn't seen the cable before and was unsure about how it was terminated. "not in the conventional manner"

with waveform cable, they strip the sheath, and twist the copper waveform together to make a Neutral conductor. They then heatshrink sleeving over the top. they dont gland it, they have a clamp at the bottom of the equipment that clamps around the cable.the gland plate was in 2 halves so you put the firast half in, then the cable, and then the second half.

PS im not a jointer, ive just been working next to one when he was installing the mains for our job.
