when wiring a new socket circuit in a domestic premises and the house has an old mcb board or fuse board, i.e no rcd protection. Do I have to put rcd protection in ,either a new board or single enclosure with rcbo? or do I put on the test sheets that I have recommended upgrading board to rcd protected. thanks

New wiring must comply with new regs. If its an old board then an external RCD on that circuit is your best option.

Or an rcd socket, assuming cables are not in walls.
