Hello,

New member here, I have been on plumbers forum for a while and viewed this forum plenty of times.

Just looking for a bit of advice on a CCTV system.

We have had a few thefts in the area recently and I am looking at fitting one.

Probably looking at about 4 cameras as we live in a semi with 3 accessible sides.

Not looking for anything fancy.

Anybody any suggestions? I am looking at some of the kits they have in Screwfix.

I have done plenty of marine electrical/electronic work and domestic electrics within the realms of part P so I am happy to fit it myself.

Thanks for any advice.

I’ve fitted the Swann 1080p systems from Screwfix in both my own house and my parents and have found them to be excellent so far. Easy to set up and have been running 24/7 for the past 2 years with no issues. We have the hikvision systems where I work and I agree they are very good. Not sure of the price of the hikvision stuff, but if you keep an eye on screwfix sometimes they have some quite good deals on the Swann sets.
